a number of和the number of的的含義不同、謂語動詞形式不同。a number of意為許多，大量。the number of意為......的數(shù)量。the number of的謂語動詞要用動詞單數(shù)，而a number of的謂語動詞要用動詞復(fù)數(shù)。
